Phobic Reactions

If you have excessive fears of certain kinds of situations in the absence of real danger, or fears that are totally out of proportions to the amount of danger that a situation may involve, you are suffering from a phobic reaction. You certainly realize that the fear is irrational but still you feel anxiety (ranging from mild feelings of uneasiness to an acute anxiety attack), which will be relieved only by avoiding the phobic situation. The list endless, the most common are:claustrophobia (fear of closed places), acrophobia (fear of heights), Ocholophobia (fear of crowds), agoraphobia (fear of open spaces), zoolophobia (fear of animals), nychtophobia (fear of darknes s, fear of bridges, fear of driving, etc.

Phobias are based on past experiences. They are tied to a past stimulus. Whenever repeated or recalled, the person reacts as historically as the first time. What to do about phobias? The answer is hypnosis. Since the roots of phobias (past experiences), are transfixed in the unconscious mind, by hypnosis they can be simply uprooted from the unconscious mind. While it is true that what you fear "will come upon you," it is also true that you can create new and positive attitudes and beliefs, and they, too, "will come upon you." This can be easily done through hypnosis.

Insomnia

How many hours of sleep you need each night?

It differs from person to person. What may be considered a good night's sleep for one person may be completely inadequate for another. Generally speaking, a person needs about 8 hours of sleep each night. Two and one-half hours of sleep out of twenty-four are absolutely necessary to maintain life and a certain amount of well-being. One can tolerate up to 40 hours of sleeplessness but deprivation of sleep for 100 hours leads to mental disturbance. Youth requires more sleep than aged; at one time eight or ten hours of sleep are necessary for health, but as the years pass, many people find five to seven hours adequate.Sleeplessness are caused by: Being obsessed with the also idea that you just cannot sleep. Taking worrisome ideas to bed. Tension and/or fatigue. Bad sleeping habits. Guilt feelings.

What to do to get rid of insomnia?

Not only all the above-mentioned causes of insomnia can be simply removed by the unconscious mind, the insomniac can be conditioned to relaxation and sleep. The relaxing images thus become a means of misdirecting the insomniac's thoughts from those that are keeping him awake to those that will produce general relaxation leading to sleep.
